Schubel House

The City of Hillsboro, Missouri, has a long history. It was founded in 1839, is the County Seat of Government and is proud to have been the home of Missouri's first governor.

The above house is also of historic significance to the Hillsboro and Jefferson County. It was built in the 1800s and housed a cobbler.

The house is located at the Corner of Maple and First Street.

Jefferson County should make every effort to maintain its rich historical heritage.

If $100,000 cannot be raised to move this bit of history, the 1800s home may be subjected to demolition in the near future.
